Melissa Hammann, M.Ed., B.B.A, CWTP, CWP
For over ten years now, Riviera Décor and lead designer, Melissa Hammann have been the only textile design studio in Corpus Christi, Texas to combine a degree in interior design with specialized training in the production techniques of high-end couture home furnishings and outdoor furnishings.
Riviera Decor is the 2018 first-place winner in the Curtains and Draperies division of the prestigious VISION awards from the International Window Coverings Expo.
An Interior Designer with Proven Results and Accomplishments
Melissa is an international award- winning published interior designer. Her work has been published numerous times in local media and Trade Magazines. She has also designed, engineered and developed patterns to the trade for outdoor draperies that are wind-resistant as featured in Bespoke Soft Furnishings magazine.
Melissa has been well- recognized as an industry leader in Custom Home Décor. She is a member of the Window Coverings Association of America- Virtual Chapter, wherein she serves on the executive board as Vice President of the Window Coverings Association of America (WCAA)- Virtual Chapter, Chairperson for the WCAA- Virtual Chapter Speaker Committee, an administrator for WoMen of the Workroom, an industry forum of over 900 members. A published writer for trade magazine, Bespoke Soft Furnishings and Webinar speaker for Drapery and Design Professional and the Window Coverings Association of America as well.
Melissa holds a Master of Science degree and Bachelor of Business Degree, from Texas A&M along with design training at the New York Institute of Art and Design and twelve certificates from the Custom Home Furnishings Academy located in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Education, experience and training never stop if you want to remain the finest in your field. Melissa pursues on-going training as a member of Drapery and Design Professional association, attends the annual Custom Workroom Conference and participates in national and international forums. She is also a Certified Graphic Designer with Minutes Matter, the industry standard in design software.
Melissa is a life-long resident of Corpus Christi, Texas where she resides in the London community with her husband Mark and their children.
